Salmon Arm bassist Jake McIntyre-Paul is back in town after completing his first semester at Capilano University’s Jazz Studies Program. Inspired by his experiences in bass performance, he’s written a collection of original music and is looking forward to performing it with his quartet. His band includes long-time friends and some of the interior’s finest jazz musicians. The quartet will feature Jake alongside his mentor and teacher Brian Pratt-Johnson, guitarist Dan Smith and saxophonist Chris Petterson. Jordan Dick will open the show with his trio. Tickets are available at Acorn Music. Proceeds from the performance will go towards Jake’s tuition at Capilano.
